Juli 2024, fand im Naherholungsgebiet Westerhammrich in Leer eine Amateurfunk-Peilveranstaltung statt. Acht Teilnehmer kamen zusammen, um ihre F\u00e4higkeiten im Aufsp\u00fcren von versteckten Funksendern unter Beweis zu stellen und dabei eine Menge Spa\u00df zu haben. Bei der Veranstaltung, die bei strahlendem Sonnenschein stattfand, ging es darum, mithilfe von Peilempf\u00e4ngern die Positionen mehrerer versteckter Sender zu ermitteln. Die abwechslungsreiche Landschaft des Westerhammrich bot dabei eine perfekte Kulisse.
