M\u00e4rz 2026 stand der OV-Abend des VFDB Ortsverbandes Leer Z31 ganz im Zeichen moderner, energieeffizienter Funkkommunikation im 433-MHz-Amateurfunkband sowie im 868-MHz-Frequenzbereich. OM Joachim, DA2JO, hielt einen hochinteressanten und praxisorientierten Vortrag zum Thema LoRaWAN sowie zu darauf aufbauenden beziehungsweise verwandten Mesh-Kommunikationssystemen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zu Beginn f\u00fchrte Joachim in die physikalischen und protokolltechnischen Grundlagen von LoRa ein. Besonderes Augenmerk legte er auf <strong>LoRaWAN<\/strong>, das als Low-Power-Wide-Area-Network-Protokoll weltweit f\u00fcr IoT-Anwendungen eingesetzt wird. Er erl\u00e4uterte anschaulich:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>die Chirp-Spread-Spectrum-Modulation von LoRa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>typische Reichweiten im 433-MHz-Amateurfunkband und im freien 868-MHz-Bereich,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>den strukturellen Aufbau eines LoRaWAN-Netzes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>die Funktion von Endger\u00e4ten, Gateways und Netzwerkservern<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>das Stern-Topologie-Prinzip im Gegensatz zu Mesh-Architekturen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dabei ging er besonders detailliert auf die Parameter der \u00dcbertragungsverfahren ein. Themen wie Link-Budget, Bandbreite, Coding Rate, Sendeleistung u.a. sowie deren Einfluss auf Reichweite, St\u00f6rfestigkeit, Energieverbrauch und Datenrate wurden praxisnah erl\u00e4utert und miteinander verglichen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Des Weiteren wurden drei LoRa-basierte Mesh-Systeme vorgestellt und systematisch verglichen: <strong>Meshtastic<\/strong>, <strong>MeshCore<\/strong> <strong>und Meshcom<\/strong>. Alle drei Systeme nutzen LoRa-Hardware im 433-MHz-Amateurfunkband oder im 868-MHz-Freigabebereich, verfolgen jedoch unterschiedliche Konzepte und Zielrichtungen. OM Joachim hat durch viele praktische Experimente mit unterschiedlicher Hardware und LORA-Systemen eine hohe Expertise. Er ging ausf\u00fchrlich auf Hardware-Auswahl, Antennentechnik, Energieversorgung, und m\u00f6gliche Einsatzszenarien im Amateurfunk ein. Kritisch wurde auch ein m\u00f6glicher Einsatz der LORA-Technik im Notfunk diskutiert, da es sich bei LoRaWan um eine Technik in der Industrie zur Vernetzung von Sensoren handelt. F\u00fcr Textkommunikation ist es von der Konzeption her eigentlich nicht vorgesehen. Zum Anschauen und Anfassen vor Ort hatte der Referent eine Reihe unterschiedlicher Node-Hardware mitgebracht. Es war ein sehr interessanter Vortragsabend mit vielen neuen Erkenntnissen.
